What is brazilian jiu-jitsu?BJJ is a challenging but rewarding submission grappling martial art focusing on the control and positional dominance of an adversary leading to one of many jointlocks and chokeholds. It is a key component of the modern mixed martial artist, and a deep and engaging sport in its own right.
The ability to practice a full-body activity at a level of physical intensity that is up to the athlete's discretion makes it an excellent way to stay in shape, and gain a host of athletic qualities. |
